About TestMyController
TestMyController is a free tool for checking a game controller before you blame the game, sell the controller or pay for a repair. It reads your controller through the browser's Gamepad API, the same interface browser games use.
What the numbers mean
Stick positions run from −1 to 1 on each axis. Percentages are distances from the centre, where 100% is the edge. The drift grades (3%, 8% and 15%) are rules of thumb based on the dead zones games commonly use, not an industry standard. See how the drift test works.
What it can't test yet
- DualSense adaptive trigger resistance and detailed haptics.
- The DualSense microphone, speaker, light bar and gyro.
- Input latency: browsers read controllers once per screen refresh, which is too coarse to measure it honestly.
